Heaters

Why won't my space heater restart?

Additional heaters are equipped with several safety features, including an anti-overheating system. So, if your appliance falls, it will continue to ventilate for a few moments to cool down and then turn off. If it does not restart, unplug it for a few minutes and plug it back in while standing upright on its base.

Is it possible to use a smart plug or a timer to control my heating?

This depends on the design of the heater. A heater with touch buttons will probably not be able to work with a controlled socket because it will probably not be equipped with a memory to restart the heater in its initial position. On the other hand, a heater with mechanical buttons should be able to be controlled. This is the case for ANNA, ANNA Little and YRON. However, make sure to check the power of your socket. A heater consumes between 1200 W and 2500 W. So make sure that your socket supports at least 2000 W for these heaters.

Why does my heater make noise when I shake it?

It is not recommended to shake your heater. Your heater is equipped with several safety features, including an anti-tip system. Heaters equipped with this system have a metal ball that is movable. This prevents the heater from starting if it is not in a vertical and flat position. The noise therefore comes from this ball.

Does a space heater consume a lot of energy?

Generally speaking, yes. A space heater consumes on average 2000 W, whereas a fixed radiator consumes 2 times less. Indeed, space heaters must have a certain inertia, that is to say a certain capacity to store heat and then release it slowly, by radiation. This inertia depends on a heating process of a liquid body (as for an oil-filled radiator) or dry (for example a ceramic-core radiator) which can, in some cases, be long and energy-intensive. Nevertheless, our devices have been designed to be as economical as possible, with the addition of automatic functions.

What is the ideal temperature for a living room?

We recommend different temperatures depending on the type of room:

  • Bedroom: 18¬∞C
  • Kitchen: 20¬∞C
  • Office and living room: 20 √† 22¬∞C
  • Bathroom: 24¬∞C
How to calculate heating power?

Calculate the volume of the room (in m3) and multiply it by 100: length x width x ceiling height x 100 = power of the radiator in watts (W).

What is a fan heater?

Fan heaters are lightweight, compact, and propel hot air through a fan housed behind a resistor. They heat up quickly and are ideal for small spaces.

Can I use my heater in my bathroom?

Yes, there are additional heaters specially adapted for bathrooms. These devices must comply with the IP21 standard. This is a protection rating that ensures your safety. In particular, it indicates that the radiator can withstand water splashes and that water can flow over it without risk. It also means that objects larger than 1.2 cm can be inserted inside without hindering its operation (practical if you have children).

What is the difference between a fan heater and a ceramic heater?

A ceramic heater can be fan-forced. A ceramic heater produces a constant and homogeneous heat, thus offering better comfort. In addition, in terms of energy savings and durability, ceramic heating is more advantageous.
