Peltier effect

Dehumidifier with Peltier effect

The Peltier effect has been invented by Jean-Charles Peltier, a French physician. This process works without compressor thanks to a thermal exchange. Air circulates between two conductor plates (one hot and the other cold). The Peltier effect creates an important difference of temperature between the two plates, which causes condensation on the cold one. This technology is adapted for small rooms (up to 20 square meters maximum), shoe closets, bathrooms, cellars and even boats and caravans. Less powerful than compressor technology, it offers low energy consumption, low noise level and a very small design.
