Fans
A fan does not have the same function as an air conditioner. It does not lower the temperature of your room. The feeling of freshness provided by the fan comes from the air blowing on the micro-droplets of water due to perspiration, which we have on the skin. By evaporating, these micro-droplets cool us down.
Yes, our table fans consume very little energy. There will of course be an impact on the autonomy of your laptop, but it remains acceptable.
If your product works with a remote control or touch buttons, this is probably not possible. On the other hand, for fans with mechanical buttons or dimmers, it is normally possible. Before plugging it into a timer or a connected socket, you can do a simple test: turn on your fan, unplug it for 30 seconds and see if it starts again by plugging it back in.
A fan will only circulate the ambient air, whereas an air cooler will also help to lower the temperature in your room by a few degrees by humidifying the air.
Both devices can lower the temperature of the room, although the air conditioner is more efficient for this. They do not have the same operating mode. Indeed, the air cooler uses the principle of evaporative cooling by propelling humidified air. As for the air conditioner, it uses a refrigerant liquid and produces dry air. In addition, an air conditioner is more expensive and energy-intensive than an air cooler. It is also more complex to install (hot air evacuation pipe).
It is a fan that circulates the air without affecting the temperature of the room. This type of fan is particularly powerful: it can reach an air flow of 9000 m3/hour to cool you down.
Turn on Simon using his foot switch. Then press and hold the on/off button on the remote for 5 seconds until you hear a beep. This indicates that the connection was successful and you can now control Simon using his remote control.
In this video we explain the procedure step by step.
How to clean Simon's fabric cover?
To clean the fabric cover, start by detaching Simon's fan housing from the mast. You can now remove the 4 screws on the back of Simon that hold the air inlet grill in place and the single screw underneath for the air outlet grill. There are small openings in the fabric cover that are used to fit it to the front and back of the housing. All these openings must be free.
The textile cover can be washed at 30° C on a gentle wash cycle. The cover must be completely dry before being put back on the device.
When putting the textile cover back on, make sure that the hole for the pole is in the right place. If it is, you can put the textile cover back on the Simon fan housing. Make sure all the holes are aligned on the front and back of the case. Finally, replace the two grilles (air inlet/outlet) and tighten the 5 screws.
In this video, we show you from second 44 how to remove and replace the textile cover.
