My ROHAN dehumidifier sometimes leaks from the bottom. What should I check? Leakage Issues and Drain Pump on the ROHAN Dehumidifier
If water leaks from the appliance while using the drain pump, this is usually caused by a blockage in the drainage system. If the drain hose is partially or completely blocked, water cannot drain properly, backs up inside the appliance, and causes a leak.
To quickly identify the source of the problem, follow these two simple troubleshooting steps:
-
Check the drain hose:
-
Disconnect the small condensate drain hose from the appliance.
-
Blow through it to check that no foreign objects or deposits are blocking the passage of air and water.
-
-
Test the drain pump:
-
Place a suitable container (such as a small basin or shallow tray) directly behind the appliance.
-
Connect a very short hose directly to the pump outlet to perform a quick test.
-
Interpreting the results:
-
If water drains properly during this test, the pump is working correctly. The problem was caused by the main drain hose being blocked or kinked further along.
-
If water still does not drain, the problem lies with the pump itself.
