Why is the red light on when there is water in the tank?

Check the following:

• Make sure the float is not clogged with essential oil residue.
• Make sure you have immersed the anti-scale cartridge in water for at least 24 hours before use (not in the water tank).
• Plan to replace the anti-scale cartridge every 3 months.
