MORE THAN AN AIR DEHUMIDIFIER!

Unlike conventional compressor units, Lary’s rolling-piston technology enables it to be both more efficient and reduce noise. In Night Mode, it allows you to maintain an ideal humidity level in the air, while operating at minimum speed and it does not ring once the tank is full. Thanks to its negative ionization function, Lary does more than dehumidify the air in your home: it cleans the air by eliminating large particles of dust.

LARY dans la salle de bain

GET RID OF THE HUMIDITY!

With LARY, drain the water collected through:

  • its 2 L tank: collect water easily. No risk of overflow: Lary stops automatically as soon as its tank is full.
  • its continuous drainage function: connect the hose, place the end in your water discharge and let Lary do it! The unit operates autonomously without the need to empty the tank.
  • a small lifting pump placed in its tank. This is especially useful when the room to be dehumidified has no water discharge.

Please note that the lift pump is not included.

YOUR HUMIDITY LEVEL IN A SNAP

Thanks to its digital screen, visualize at a glance the humidity in your home: between 40 and 60%, the display is green to signal you an ideal humidity level, below 40%, the display is blue to indicate that the air is too dry and above 60%, the display is red to indicate that the air is too humid. To help you act concretely, LARY has a HygroSmart® function that helps maintain a comfortable humidity level in the room (between 47 and 53%).

DRY CLOTHES IN A SHORT TIME

Ideal for use in homes without a laundry room, LARY has a specific mode for drying clothes, so the appliance will work at maximum speed to make your clothes dry! This air dehumidifier is as efficient as a dryer, but takes care not to damage your favorite jeans!

Why is a compressor dehumidifier almost ineffective below 10°C or 15°C?

The operation of a compressor dehumidifier is similar to that of a refrigerator. In fact, the condenser (the very fine lamella grid) is slightly colder than the ambient air. Thus, the water contained in the air condenses and flows into the tank. Below about ten degrees, these water droplets risk freezing instantly on contact with the condenser, and forming a block of ice at the back of the device. To avoid this, new generation dehumidifiers are equipped with a "defrost" or "anti-freeze" mode that will disconnect the compressor for a while (or longer if it is very cold). The air thus circulates at room temperature and the device does not freeze, but it is almost ineffective.

    What is continuous drainage for?

Continuous drainage means that you don't have to empty the tank all the time. Thus, the condensates (water collected by the dehumidifier) flow away by gravity. This operation is always carried out using a short pipe (maximum 50 cm) with an internal section of approximately 1 cm.

Is it possible to extend a continuous drainage pipe?

It is not impossible but not recommended because if your pipe gets clogged or does not drain well, the water will rise up in the pipe and flooding is guaranteed. If you risk it, oversize the diameter of the extension pipe and join the 2 pipes well, for a good seal. Make a small hole on the upper part of the pipe, directly after the water outlet, at the back of the appliance.

How do I connect the drain hose to my dehumidifier?

First, we recommend removing the tank to make installation easier. Then, connect the hose to the unit through the opening on the back or side of the dehumidifier. Replace the tank and place the other end of the drain hose directly into a water drain.

Is the continuous drainage pipe provided?

Yes, your device is delivered complete and ready to use.

What are the different ways to drain water?

You can empty the water collected by the dehumidifier in 3 ways:

    • Empty the tank when it is full (LARY stops automatically).
    • Continuous drainage: the included drainage hose allows you to connect LARY to a waste water drain on the ground. The pipe must be short and sloping so that the flow is done by gravity.
    • Sump pump (not included): install this accessory in the tank to raise the water to a certain level or to evacuate it over a longer distance.

What is the "anti-freeze" function for?

Below 15°C, the LARY dehumidifier automatically operates in "anti-frost" mode. This means that it cannot dehumidify the air to its maximum capacity because the room temperature is too low. At times, the compressor stops, but the fan continues to run in order to prevent ice blocks from forming on the device.

Why can't I install Pump It Up?

On the new LARY series, fins have been added to the tanks.

Brown liquid in your dehumidifier : Should you be worried?

You've noticed a brownish liquid flowing from the hose or present in the tank of your dehumidifier? This phenomenon can be surprising, as the water extracted from the air is supposed to be clear. Rest assured: no internal part of your appliance produces this type of liquid. It is most likely pollution present in the ambient air, especially if the appliance is used in a garage or a poorly ventilated space.

Hypothesis No. 1: Presence of Fungal Spores or Mold

In humid environments like garages, microscopic spores (mold, fungi, etc.) can float in the air. Once captured by the airflow of the dehumidifier, they are carried with the condensed water and can color the liquid brown. You might also perceive a musty or damp earth odor when approaching the reservoir.

Hypothesis No. 2: Air Pollution by Organic Residues or Greasy Dust

A garage is often an environment exposed to oils, fuels, solvents, brake dust, etc. These particles, suspended in the air, can be sucked in and mix with the condensed water, giving it a dark brown tint. This phenomenon is common in rooms where volatile organic or chemical substances circulate.

What to do if this happens?

Here are some recommendations to clean your appliance and identify the exact origin of the problem:

    1. Clean the drain hose with hot water and a little white vinegar. Soaking in a mild disinfectant solution can also be helpful.
    2. Rinse the collection tank and the drain outlet thoroughly.
    3. Spray a mixture of warm water and white vinegar (20%) directly onto the fins at the back of the appliance to eliminate any biological traces.
    4. Let the dehumidifier run for 24 to 48 hours under the same conditions.
    5. If the brown liquid reappears:

    • It is then highly likely that the ambient air is the cause of this discoloration. You can:
    • Install a pre-filter on the air intake (a fine foam or a coffee filter can work temporarily),
    • Test the appliance in another room to see if the phenomenon disappears elsewhere.

Discreet-looking product, effective, in accordance with the description. Not as quiet as advertised (or hoped for, even in night mode) but one of the least noisy models, it's still acceptable. Also effective in significantly speeding up the drying time of laundry. A plus would have been to be able to set the target humidity. This is my second purchase of this product. (Translated review)

It effectively reduces humidity. Water is easy to empty. Laundry in the rooms dries faster. It rejects fresh air, so I don't install it next to me. (Translated review)

More expensive than a basic compressor dehumidifier, but the difference is amply justified (personal experience, living in a flood-prone area...). (Translated review)

We've only been using it for a week and it seems to be working very well. The unit extracts a considerable amount of water (several liters a day). Impressive! The noise level is quite tolerable (less noisy than a hood, on a par with a fan). At first, we had some difficulty understanding how the ignition button worked (all it took was a brief touch, like using the keys on a computer keyboard). All in all, very happy with our purchase. The device really lives up to its sales description. A great discovery. (Translated review)
