So you can leave it on while you air out the room, this has no significant impact on filter clogging.

Manufacturers indicate a filter life span because it is necessary information during the selection process. However, 2 pieces of information should be taken into account:

• For a combined filter with HEPA + activated carbon filtration: as soon as the filter is removed from its plastic packaging, the activated carbon will start to capture VOCs and other odors even if the air purifier is not turned on.
• The use of the air purifier plays a major role in the filter's life span. An air purifier that operates at maximum speed in a very polluted environment will have a shorter lifespan than one used at reduced speed in a cleaner environment.

In all cases, a light (often red) will tell you when to change the filter.

Regular cleaning is required depending on the model. In all cases, you must disassemble the elements where water flows, the discs, and immerse them in a solution of water and white vinegar. We recommend mixing white vinegar with 50 to 60% water. Leave it to act for at least 10 to 20 minutes and rinse with clean water. The discs can also, depending on the appliance, be put in the dishwasher.

Both devices work by evaporation. The air washer works with washable discs, while the evaporator works with filters (also called cartridges) that must be replaced regularly. The difference is that the air washer does not need consumables and its filtration quality is better.

An air washer is a 3-in-1 device that can humidify, purify the air and diffuse essential oils. An air purifier only has one main function, that of purifying the air, that is, of ridding it of pollutants.

Yes, the evaporation discs can be cleaned in the dishwasher, but not the water tank. Make sure the discs are placed flat in the dishwasher. They should not be slid between the basket rods to avoid being deformed.

The intensity of the perfume depends on several criteria:

• The type of perfume: natural scents are often less intense than synthetic ones and some components are more dominant than others.
• The size of the room (the smaller the room, the more noticeable the perfume).
• The room temperature and relative humidity (the more humid the air, the more noticeable the perfume).

To increase the intensity perfume, you can add a few extra drops of essential oil. It should also be taken into account that the main functions of the air washer are to purify and humidify the air. The intensity of the perfume will therefore never be comparable to that of an essential oil diffuser.

When all LEDs, including the "No water" LED, are flashing, the water tray is not positioned correctly. Push the water tray into the housing as far as it will go. An audible signal indicates that the tray has been positioned correctly.

The frequency of cleaning GEORGE depends mainly on the hardness of the water used. We recommend that you open the appliance, look inside and descale it if necessary.

• Every week: wash the water tray and the disc set with clean water to remove impurities.
• Every 2 weeks: thoroughly clean the water tray, the disc set and the tank with a soft brush or sponge and hot water. If there is limescale deposit in the water tank or reservoir, use the descaling solution Cleaner&Descaler diluted in water (follow the instructions for dosage). After descaling, the base and reservoir must be rinsed thoroughly with tap water. Unlike the tank, the water base can also be cleaned in the dishwasher (max. 60¬∞C).

In the event of significant scaling, we recommend using the cleaning mode of the air washer. To do this, pour the Cleaner & Descaler descaling solution into the water tank and pour in the same amount of tap water. Then replace the water base with the disc set. To activate the cleaning mode, you must hold down the 2 buttons «SPEED» and «DIMMER» simultaneously until the white LEDs flash. This indicates that the discs are rotating, but not the fan, which prevents the cleaning agent from being released into the ambient air. After 20 minutes, GEORGE is cleaned and the LEDs turn off. Be sure to rinse all cleaned parts thoroughly with clean water. If there is still limescale in the device, repeat the cleaning.

It prevents the proliferation of germs and bacteria in the tank so that the device diffuses the healthiest air possible.
