Data sheet
Yes, the base of your device is made of polypropylene (like an essential oil diffuser). You can therefore, without fear, put drops of oils directly into the water in the tank.
A humidifier is considered "top-fill" when its user manual indicates that you can fill it from the top. This way, you don't have to remove and carry the tank to fill it: a bottle of water is enough and this greatly simplifies the daily use of the humidifier. In the case of a "top-fill" humidifier, the tank is shaped like a bucket with a handle.
Frequent use of a humidifier requires regular and careful maintenance, at least once a week if you use it very often.
To clean it, use white vinegar: in addition to being economical, it is the ideal product for eliminating limescale. There are also specific maintenance products, such as the Stadler Form cleaner and descaler Cleaner&Descaler which effectively preserves materials.
We recommend filling the tank with vinegar and water, then leaving it to act for 30 minutes before rinsing it. Just be sure to unplug it first and not wet the electronic components so as not to damage them and put yourself in danger.
In the case of an ultrasonic humidifier, clean the metal plate with a soft brush.
Finally, do not let water stagnate for more than 72 hours in the device to avoid any proliferation of bacteria.
It is a patented technology by air&me that allows automatic regulation of the humidity level. Once the function is activated, the device works automatically to reach the right humidity level between 48% and 53%.
It is possible to replace the used diffusion cotton with a piece of makeup remover cotton that you have previously cut out yourself.
Clean the inside of the tray with a little dish soap, warm water, and a sponge or brush.
For limescale deposits, use:
Staedler Form cleaner & descaler,
household descaler,
or white vinegar.
Let it act, then scrub with a sponge or brush.
Rinse thoroughly with cold water.
Oliver will automatically remind you once a month that cleaning is required.
To start cleaning mode:
Fill the water tank with water and descaler.
Place it on the tray.
Plug in the device, press ON/OFF, then hold the cleaning mode button for 3 seconds.
The cleaning mode heats the water for more efficient cleaning and ends automatically after 5 minutes.
To stop manually, press and hold the cleaning mode button again for 3 seconds.
For tough deposits, repeat the cleaning mode several times.
Do not leave the cleaning solution in the tray for more than 20 minutes.
Clean the tray with a brush and rinse thoroughly.
Pour 200 ml of fresh water into the tray and carefully empty it.
Repeat until all cleaning solution is gone.
Fill the tank with fresh water and use a hygiene tap to keep it clean.
Mist outlet: remove the cover, clean with a narrow brush or pipe cleaner, and rinse.
Fragrance container: remove the fragrance pad, wash with a little soap, rinse, and dry.
Insert a new cotton pad and add a few drops of your chosen essential oil.
Clean the container each time you change the fragrance to avoid mixing scents.
Remove the anti-calc cartridge and clean the device inside and out following the monthly cleaning instructions.
Let it dry for at least 24 hours at room temperature.
Insert a new anti-calc cartridge if necessary before storing for the next season.
The UV light requires no maintenance.
