Dehumidify your indoor air without tanks or draining, thanks to the S19 wifi. This compact unit extracts up to 19L of water per day. Its design allows it to operate at temperatures as low as -15°.
Data sheet
Below about fifteen degrees, a compressor or Peltier dehumidifier loses much of its efficiency. The reason is simple: to create condensation, the compressor's role is to cool the condenser. If the air is too cold, the drops formed on the condenser will freeze. On older products, you can see blocks of ice forming. Today, there are "Defrost" modes that disconnect the compressor, but the device no longer dehumidifies. It is therefore advisable to opt for a desiccant or low-temperature dehumidifier that works with a large silica wheel. Its efficiency will be almost constant at 0°C or à 20°C.
Regarding the discharge of warm, humid air: There are two key points to understand about how these tankless desiccant dehumidifiers work.
Regarding the ducting for intake and exhaust in the room: here again, short ducts should be prioritized. The manufacturer recommends not exceeding 4 or 5 meters for both intake and exhaust.
In summary, use the thickest possible ducts to avoid overworking the dehumidifier’s motor. This dehumidifier is not a mechanical ventilation system.
You must increase the distances. Plan to install relief for the dehumidifier, such as small mechanical ventilation units or duct motors.
These tankless dehumidifiers are ideal for installation on boats, especially during winter storage, as they operate even at 0°F. The absence of a tank allows moist, warm air to be vented directly outside.
Finally, these units are ultra-compact and allow you to run a duct from one end of the boat to the other, which will facilitate ventilation and air circulation on board.
