Dust
Dust is a combination of various elements suspended in the air, held together by static electricity. It typically consists of textile fibers, mold and fungus spores, pollen, tiny insect fragments, dust mites, hair, dead skin cells, food residues, and pollutant microparticles.
Dust can lead to various health problems, including:
- Coughing
- Allergies
- Asthma
- Toxic and carcinogenic effects
It is advisable to eliminate dust, especially for individuals suffering from asthma, as inhaling dust can be harmful. A person should not inhale more than 10 mg of dust per m³ of air over an 8-hour period, with this threshold reduced to 5 mg/m³ for alveolar dust.
An air purifier can effectively help combat dust present in your home.
