Data sheet
This is completely normal because your humidifier is an evaporator, it is not an ultrasonic or a mist maker. It works naturally by evaporating water. This does not affect its efficiency.
Your humidifier is an evaporator and works naturally. An evaporator cannot go above 45% or 50% humidity, as this is the recommended optimal rate. To go above this, you must choose an ultrasonic or warm mist humidifier.
Cleaning and replacing your filters is essential to ensure the proper functioning of your humidifier. There is no strict indication on this subject because everything depends on the type of room, humidity and temperature. On average, a filter should be changed every 2 to 3 months to prevent the proliferation of algae, bacteria and viruses, as well as their diffusion into the ambient air.
Yes, a cartridge with cotton is provided for this purpose in the filling hatch of your humidifier. Generously soak the cotton and the oil will be diffused thanks to the air flow.
If the filter is too worn, the device may no longer start. After changing the filter, you must reset the device to indicate that the filter is new. To do this, refer to the instructions for your humidifier (you must press a button for a few seconds).
For optimal use of the humidifier, its filters should be replaced at least every two months. After putting in new filters, press the reset button for 5 seconds until the blue light is on continuously again.
A slight yellowish or brownish discoloration may appear on your filters. This is caused by impurities in the water or air. The poorer the water quality, the faster the filter will become discolored. This discoloration is normal and harmless as long as it is not caused by mold. The discoloration will also not affect the performance of your humidifier.
The color change is due to the components of the tap water or air. The filters change color more quickly depending on the water quality. This is not very aesthetic, but as long as it is not mold, it is harmless. On the other hand, filters affected by mold should be thrown away and the device should be cleaned thoroughly. If you have recently changed the filters, you can rinse them, turn them over and continue using them. If you have been using the filters for more than 2 months, replace them with new ones. Please note that the color of the filters has no influence on the normal operation of the humidifier.
