Quelle eau mettre dans un humidificateur ?

Vapeur froide : l’eau du robinet, l'eau minérale et l'eau distillée sont adaptées. Si votre eau est calcaire, un dépôt blanc va se former autour de l’appareil. C’est le calcaire de l’eau qui se casse en toutes petites particules et qui retombe à coté de l’appareil. Il n' y a aucun risque pour votre santé, en revanche, il faut veiller à bien nettoyer votre humidificateur pour qu’il ne s’entartre pas. Il est aussi possible d’utiliser un mélange d’eau du robinet et d’eau minérale. Pour réduire cette poussière blanche, il convient de remplacer régulièrement la cartouche de filtration de l’humidificateur.
Vapeur tiède : l’eau du robinet, l'eau minérale et l’eau distillée sont adaptées. Tout comme les humidificateurs à vapeur chaude, l’eau provenant d’un adoucisseur est fortement déconseillée.
Vapeur chaude : l’eau du robinet est adaptée, mais l’eau adoucie provenant d’un système de détartrage utilisant du sel est à exclure. Le point d’ébullition de l’eau sera transformé occasionnant un débordement puis une déformation de l’humidificateur.
Évaporateur : tout type d'eau. Idéal si l’eau est fortement calcaire. Le calcaire restera au fond du bac et pourra simplement être nettoyé avec un produit adapté (vinaigre blanc par exemple).
