UV Air Purifier

UV Air Purifier and Filter

UV air filtration is a technology that combines a short-wave UV lamp, typically with a wavelength of 254 nanometers, and a titanium dioxide (TiO2) plate.

UV air purifiers use UV-C light to inactivate pathogens and microorganisms, effectively purifying the air. However, a concern remains: what happens to the DNA molecules of viruses that are destroyed and released back into the air?

To be effective, the UV lamps in purifiers must be replaced regularly, every 3 to 6 months, depending on usage. Therefore, maintenance costs for UV air purifiers can be relatively high.
