EPA Filters

EPA filters (or high-efficiency filters according to the EN 1822:2009 standard) are highly effective at filtering airborne particles. They are mainly used in air purifiers for residential use or in vacuum cleaners. The term EPA stands for Efficiency Particulate Air, reflecting their ability to capture fine particles present in the air.

There are different types of EPA filters, each offering a suitable filtration level:

  • EPA 10: 85% filtration efficiency for particles of 0.3 microns and larger.
  • EPA 11: 95% filtration efficiency for particles of 0.3 microns and larger.
  • EPA 12: 99.5% filtration efficiency for particles of 0.3 microns and larger.

These filters are especially effective at improving indoor air quality by removing dust and allergens.
