If your air purifier filter contains activated carbon, then it is of plant origin. It will produce a slight odor that will fade over time. This odor is not necessarily unpleasant and is completely normal.

• the device to turn on from a certain time to a certain time,
• the device to be used during the day at a defined speed,
• the night light to turn off and switch to speed 1 before going to sleep...

Our goal is for your air purifier to be part of your daily life without being a source of concern. So you can leave it on while you air out the room, this has no significant impact on filter clogging.

Manufacturers indicate a filter life span because it is necessary information during the selection process. However, 2 pieces of information should be taken into account:

• For a combined filter with HEPA + activated carbon filtration: as soon as the filter is removed from its plastic packaging, the activated carbon will start to capture VOCs and other odors even if the air purifier is not turned on.
• The use of the air purifier plays a major role in the filter's life span. An air purifier that operates at maximum speed in a very polluted environment will have a shorter lifespan than one used at reduced speed in a cleaner environment.

In all cases, a light (often red) will tell you when to change the filter.

Prefer air purifiers with combined HEPA + activated carbon filters because activated carbon is effective in filtering bad odors. Examples: LENDOU, ROGER.

The LENDOU air purifier has a patented OptiFilter‚Ñ¢ technology that measures the wear of the filter based on the level of pollutants in the air, the fan speed and the number of hours the device has been used. A light indicator signals that the filter needs to be replaced. This means that you only change the filter when necessary, which saves you money. Thanks to the LENDOU HEPA 13 filter, you can enjoy purified air for 6 to 12 months.

The indicator light next to the [Filter] button will light up when the filter needs to be replaced. To replace the filter:

1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged, then remove the pre-filter from the appliance and unclip the rear grille.
2. Gently pull the two tabs on the used filter to remove it from the appliance.
3. Place the used filter directly in a hermetically sealed bag and dispose of it quickly so as not to disperse the pollutants.
4. Carefully install the new filter, placing the two tabs facing you.
5. Replace the rear grille and the pre-filter.
6. Reconnect and turn the device back on.
7. Press the [Filter] button for 3 seconds to reset the filter wear measurement system.

Avoid used filters being handled by people with asthma or allergies. Remember to wash your hands thoroughly after handling a used filter.

We recommend washing the fabric pre-filter approximately every 15 days to ensure the maximum efficiency of the air purifier. You can clean it with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush or machine wash it on a "delicate" cycle. Warning: do not iron the pre-filter. Never place a pre-filter on the device while it is still damp. Only the pre-filter is reusable and can be cleaned with water.

For this, there is an optional wall mounting system. You will need a drill and a screwdriver. Two mounting bars are provided in this set, with 4 screws and dowels. For installation, refer to the diagram included in the package.

You can vacuum the exterior of the fabric pre-filter to remove dust as often as you like. For a deeper clean, you can also machine wash the pre-filter at a low temperature on a delicate cycle.

The LED indicator will change from green to yellow after 5 months of operation to warn you that you will need to change the filter soon. When the indicator then changes to red (1 month later), you need to change the main filter.

The pre-filter is a first level of filtration for large particles. It captures animal hair, hair and large dust particles.

It is possible that the rear grille of the device is incorrectly positioned. Indeed, for your safety, it has an electrical connector that allows you to stop the fan when replacing the filter. Be careful to properly engage this grille so that your purifier can restart.
