Ultrasonic Plate

An ultrasonic plate is a metal plate integrated into certain air humidifiers. By vibrating slightly, the plate "breaks" the water molecules, producing a fine mist or fog that is visible to the naked eye.

Ultrasonic humidifiers are effective devices for combating overly dry air in your home. Unlike evaporation humidifiers, which use filters to humidify the air, ultrasonic humidifiers offer faster and more visible action since the mist created is immediately noticeable.
