Sulfur Dioxide - SO2

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) is a colorless gas produced by the combustion of fossil fuels (coal and oil) and the smelting of sulfur-containing iron ores. It is also emitted by residential heating, electricity generation, and motor vehicles.

SO2 affects the respiratory system, causes eye irritation, and can have detrimental health effects. When it comes into contact with water, it produces sulfuric acid, a major component of acid rain responsible for deforestation and environmental degradation.

To limit the risks associated with SO2 presence indoors, we recommend using an air purifier.
