FOOBOT is a brand owned by the company Airboxlab, which sells connected air quality sensors.

Airboxlab is a French company founded in 2013 by Jacques Touillon, with the primary ambition of helping people to measure and control the quality of their air by offering a quality solution at a reasonable price.

Jacques Touillon became interested in the issue of indoor air quality after his 2-year-old son was diagnosed "asthmatic". Distraught, he wanted to create a technological solution that would provide information on the quality of air in homes.

He then took advantage of a first experience in loT, to create an air quality measurement sensor operating with data processing.

After a crowdfunding campaign to evaluate the market, Airboxlab sold its prototype to beta testers in 24 countries.

In 2015, the FOOBOT, a connected device that measures air quality by evaluating 2 sources of pollution, is launched on the market. It measures :
- Chemical pollution: such as formaldehydes, mostly from household products.
- Physical pollution: such as fine particles (PM10 and PM2.5) which directly impact the respiratory system and pass into our bloodstream.

Connected by Wifi, FOOBOT continuously measures the air quality and indicates the results thanks to a LED that changes colour according to the air quality. The user can also check the quality of his air through a dedicated interface on a smartphone and computer.
